World Roulette is now open! Here is the piece I made for the show!
Inspired by the randomly generated prompts "forest", "insects", innovators, and "The Enlightened Age", I came up with Sapiens Alveo (The Sapient Hive). It is a world similar to ours where highly evolved insects were the dominant species. I think they would have co-existed well with humans. There would have been some kind of technology there as well. The intelligent insects would have allowed such in order to accommodate their two-legged friends. I just think it would have been at a less advanced level compared to ours because they wouldn't allow humans to abuse nature the way we do in our world.
You can now see all the work we did at the Light Grey Art Lab gallery in Minneapolis Minnesota. They're all going to be on display until October 1, 2020. There's going to be a virtual tour of the exhibit on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Please follow my Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/jbcasacop.art for the latest updates about the show and the Kickstarter for the art book/ world building guide that this particular painting of mine is gonna be a part of. I'll post the links there as soon as they go live!
While you're at it, please support the Light Grey Art Lab and follow their social media accounts so they can keep these amazing shows coming! Thanks! :-)
